A Change of Ownership

Crustum Bakery was started in 2011 in Priory Road by Nick Wood. During that time it has matured into a highly respected artisan bakery serving the needs of people in Kenilworth who want the very best standard of bread and other baked products. Nick was soon joined by Sharon Newport who has been baking nearly all the cakes sold at Crustum ever since.

In 2013 Crustum took on Giles Vacy-Ash as an apprentice. Giles has been at Crustum ever since and is now a fully qualified baker.

Nick has decided that the time has come for him to hang up his apron and is delighted to announce that the business will be taken over by Giles as of 2nd January 2018.

Giles has always wanted to own his own bakery and is very excited by the opportunity he now has. But he says he has no intention of changing anything – Crustum will carry on as before!

For many years, Nick and Sharon have respectively held bread making and cake making courses for the public once a month on Sunday afternoons. These have been extremely popular and Giles is delighted to announce that Nick and Sharon wish to continue on their own account holding these courses on Crustum premises for those who want to learn the secrets of successful bread and cake making. Nick would like to take this opportunity to thank the good folk that have made Crustum such a success over the years, and hopes past and new customers alike will join him in wishing Giles and his team the very best for the future.
